Under new rules planned by the Government (the law is still going through the Oireachtas), anyone letting a room or home for 21 nights or fewer through a website must register with Fáilte Ireland's short-term letting register by 31 December 2026, and show the registration number in the ad. Stays longer than 21 nights are not short-term lets under this law, and every stay on StayLister is 22 nights or more, so hosts here don't need the number for these ads.
